Job Description

The Practice Manager oversees the day to day running of the hospital and is the liaison between clients, staff, and veterinarians.Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee smooth and efficient operations of the hospital
  • Assist in hiring processes of all support staff
  • Handle human resource issues when they arise
  • Create policies and manage daily staffing to ensure optimal operation of the practice
  • Review accounts receivable reports
  • Promotes a cooperative working environment among staff members
  • Represents the organization appropriately and professionally
  • Promotes a client-centered environment and facilitates programs and processes that meet client needs
  • Facilitates resolution of client problems that doctors or other staff members cannot finalize
  • Resolves financial problems with clients and determines when special financial agreements are appropriate
  • Other duties as assigned
Professional Qualifications
  • Experience in veterinary or medical office management an asset
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and software applications, including Microsoft
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Work exposure to all aspects of a business enterprise, with demonstrated competence in budgeting and financial reporting and in staff management
