Job Description

Corporate Couriers is the premier courier company, proudly serving our customers in British Columbia for the past 30 years. With a fleet of over 800 drivers and bicycle couriers, we are the largest same-day courier and offer a wide range of services that include warehousing and distribution services, same-day delivery, fleet outsourcing, intercity, and medical delivery. We have created a fully integrated delivery system that utilizes the most advanced dispatch software and barcode scanning systems.The successful candidate will work under the guidance and supervision of the Scheduling Manager; the Scheduling Assistant administers the scheduling of drivers, package handlers, warehouse associates to ensure appropriate coverage is available for our routes.Responsibilities:

  • Effectively communicate with drivers, package handlers, warehouse associates and administrative staff over the phone to schedule, remind and follow up on their shifts.
  • Monitor, produce and administer schedules as requested by management or clients.
  • Ability to multitask with a high degree of accuracy the activities of making the necessary changes to schedules as communicated.
  • Adhere to company guidelines regarding changes / requests to suite the scheduling needs of the team.
  • Ability to adapt to changes to ensure 100% coverage of the routes and keep overtime to a minimum.
  • All other general duties as assigned

  • Excellent communication with the ability to problem solve quickly
  • Proven ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and organise employees
  • Strong attention to detail
  • MS Office Suite with a high proficiency with Excel
  • Proven successful track record of working in a high-pressure environment
  • Weekend availability
Qualifications and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Preferred, 1 – 3 years experience in a related position
  • Preferred, a Diploma in Business Administration or related degree in transportation or logistics
  • A combination of related experience, education, and training will be considered
  • Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
