Job Description

We are seeking an experienced shipper/receiver to assist in our warehouse during the months of July and August.How you will spend your day: Receives merchandise. Checks and signs delivery slips. Assists with unloading as necessary. Coordinates and monitors delivery of received materials as driven by customer and project delivery schedules. Checks contents of shipped products against purchase orders for the purpose of verifying stock. Unpacks merchandise. Verifies the quality and quantity of items against supporting documents. Performs receiving inspection as per company’s work products to assess quality compliance of incoming materials as received from various suppliers. Accepts or returns merchandise according to established procedure. Process report requests, documents, deliveries and/or materials for the purpose of dissemination information and/ or materials to appropriate parties. Completes different forms and prepares documents. Maintains files. Organizes distribution and shipping of merchandise. Makes necessary verifications against documents, prepares the merchandise and moves to the appropriate area. Handles customer pick-ups. Contacts resource sources for various information. Contacts transport/ shipping companies and suppliers in order to expedite, trace or return merchandise that does not conform to specifications or purchase orders. Participates in taking and conducting annual physical inventory counts being a part of annual inventory audit process. Maintains storage area, organizes and places stock on shelves. Ensures area is secure at all times. Upkeeps MRP / ERP records and transactions. Maintains all databases, reports related to purchasing and inventory. Supports cycle counting activities for inventory accuracy. Supports Material kitting process and follow ups on material shortages towards timely delivery of parts on Production floor. Other duties as required and assigned by the Supervisor.Experiences that will ensure you succeed: High school diploma or equivalent Experience in use of MRP/ERP system is preferred Proficient in use of computers and commonly used software such as MS OFFICE Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work in a high-energy environment with minimum supervision Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of personnel Hands-on attitude with high-energy and enthusiastic personality Helpful and committed to maintaining high standards of performance and morale A follow through mind-set – “own the project”.Today’s passenger trains contain dozens of electronic control units that communicate through Ethernet and Wi-Fi networks.
