Department of Engineering: Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Environmental EngineeringAcademic Employment Opportunity #22-20UNB Saint JohnClosing Date: Complete application packages, including letters of reference, must be received by March 1, 2023.The Department of Engineering at the University of New Brunswick, Saint John campus, invites applications for a tenure-track position in Environmental Engineering at the rank of Assistant Professor, starting July 1, 2023, or a mutually acceptable date thereafter. This position is subject to final budgetary approval.The department offers a 2-year diploma program in Engineering Foundation with specializations in chemical, civil, electrical, mechanical, and software engineering. The department will offer a 4-year degree program in environmental engineering starting Fall 2023. Also, the department is looking at expanding its offerings through teaching graduate courses toward the Master of Engineering in systems engineering. Candidates for the position must have a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering or closely related discipline, and clear evidence of strong research ability, as the successful candidate will be expected to establish an externally funded research program and be involved in supervision of graduate (MSc and PhD) students. UNB Saint John has a strong commitment to teaching so demonstrated excellence in teaching will be an asset. Preference will be given to candidates who have obtained a P. Eng. or who are eligible to do so. Responsibilities include teaching, research (including graduate student supervision), and assisting in university academic service.A complete application package should include a cover letter (indicating either the competition number or#39;ENV #39;), along with the applicant #39;s curriculum vitae, a statement of research interests, a statement of teaching philosophy and up to three reprints of recent publications.
