Job Description

As a Field Coordinator on our Constructionamp; Maintenance Projects team, you will work as a primary field liaison between our contractor teams to ensure work being completed at our refinery is compliant with the contracts and scopes of work that are in place. Your goal will be to uphold our high standards for safety ensuring safe, reliable operations and adherence to all company, industry, and regulatory requirements.What We Offer: Work Environment – Work and grow within Canada’s largest Refinery, with strong safety culture, access to a fitness facility, an onsite medical team, and a café.Competitive Compensation – Including an annual bonus plan, and pension plan.Flexible Benefits Plan – in effect from day one and offers three levels of coverage to select from to meet your unique, personal needs.Paid Vacation – Plus an annual option to purchase additional vacation, too.Wellness Support – With an annual wellness allowance, paid personal care days and a 24/7 Employeeamp; Family Assistance ProgramOpportunity to give back to some amazing causes in our community – Choose when and where to make an impact with a paid volunteer day, company volunteer opportunities, and a donation matching program.Your Responsibilities:Champion a safe work environment; hold all contractors and other on-site personnel to company, industry, and regulatory standards of working safely.Lead constructability and scheduling activities for area of responsibility and communicate and report progress to project team.Perform safety audits to maintain a safe construction site and safe access for employees by identifying and removing hazards daily, monitor contractor compliance to the Safety Link program.Validate that non-operated equipment is set up in a safe location that does not interfere with other activities.Using construction and maintenance schedules, develop weekly milestones, track planned progress, and manage any risks to achieve all deadlines by recommending and implementing solutions.Monitor quality of work being performed by contractors. Provide clarity on field direction.Report issues, make recommendations, and work with contractors to resolve in a timely manner.Review field punch lists, inspection reports, field change notices (FCNs) and other communication tools to monitor and validate that each is addressed to meet time commitments.Monitor and validate that outstanding punch items from a project are addressed as soon as practical and that all contractors and operated / non-operated equipment is demobilized.Validate that all spares and surplus materials are returned to the warehouse.Collaborate with management and key stakeholders to ensure outstanding exceptions from a PSSR (Pre Startup Safety Review) following project commissioning are addressed.Your Skills: A comprehensive understanding and practical experience with the sequencing and prioritization of tasks associated with performing construction and maintenance activities on refinery equipment.Good, collaborative relationship building skills to work with cross-functional teams towards common goals.Able to anticipate problems, proactive in seeking out conditions that look abnormal, with a very strong sense of accountability.Resolve conflicts.Able to make tactical recommendations and decisions to gain alignment on discrepancies.Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.Able to report and communicate well on progress, risk, milestones.Able to prioritize effectively, manage multiple priorities, and change priorities quickly as needed.Able to walk over uneven ground, bend, stoop, crawl, climb high elevations, and wear all PPE as required, year-round, in all types of weather.Your Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in refinery equipment operation, maintenance planning, and execution.Post-secondary education in trades, or equivalent experience.Proficient with MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.Experience using Oracle is an asset.
