Ready to Make an impactWe currently has an exciting full-time opportunity for a Pharmacy Manager – Continuing Care to join our consolidated Long Term Care/Central Fill Pharmacy located inSaint John NB.This site is a consolidation of Long Term Care and Central Fill services.Reporting to the Facility/Pharmacy Manager – LTC/CF, the Pharmacy Manager – Continuing Care will support the strategic direction and vision for the Long Term Care (LTC) portion of the site.Responsibilities include coaching and developing the LTC pharmacy team to provide superior customer service and patient experiences, as well as ensuring contracted continuing care pharmacy services are attained. As the Pharmacy Manager – Continuing Care, you will participate in professional programs and collaborate with colleagues within the Pharmacy to provide excellence in health and wellness services to all patients. Actively contribute to a positive and productive working environment.Here’s where you’ll be focusing:Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership skills, superior judgement, decision making and commitment to pharmacy team
  • Create a coaching and development culture for all pharmacy employees which embraces a passion for health and wellness
  • Oversee pharmacy talent management including succession planning, orientation and training, and performance management
  • Ensure the communication of operational requirements/changes and pharmacy vision to all employees
  • Responsible to adequately staff the pharmacy at all times through effective and flexible schedule
  • Exceed customer/patient expectations
  • Acknowledge customers/patients promptly and professionally
  • Demonstrate warmth, empathy, and compassion towards the customer/patient
  • Provide superior customer service to every customer/patient
  • Role model, coach, and reinforce customer service expectations on a daily basis for all staff
  • Responsible for understanding all Corporate Pharmacy Service offerings and providing each customer/patient with the program that meets their health needs
  • Responsible for understanding and execution of continuing care facility pharmacy agreement commitments
  • Other duties as assigned
What you have to offer:Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from a recognized institution
  • Licensed Pharmacist in the province of responsibility
  • Injection Certification
  • Above average communication skills, oral and written
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and lead a team
Preferred:
  • Previous management experience in a pharmacy setting
  • Previous experience working in a Long Term Care site, as a continuing care consultant pharmacist
  • Additional certifications (i.e. Certified Geriatric Pharmacist, Advance Prescribing)
