Job Description

Cooke is a global seafood company with operations in North America, Europe, South America and Australia. Our company’s success is driven by our dynamic, highly-skilled and innovative management team, supported by dedicated employees who live in coastal communities and contribute to the local area’s economy and sense of community.We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Analyst to join our team. As a Senior Analyst, you will play a crucial role in driving our company #39;s growth by supporting the senior leadership team and providing insights and recommendations. You will be responsible for analyzing data, developing financial models, and creating presentations to communicate your findings to senior management. You will work closely with the senior leadership team to develop detailed models to support capital initiatives focusing on cashflows and return on investment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with the senior leadership team to build comprehensive models to help make strategic decisions involving major capital projects
  • Provide assistance to the Managing Director, Atlantic Canadian Operations with preparation and analysis of financial information and operational performance by supporting financial reporting, planning, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Develop and maintain a quarterly package to be sent to board members highlighting key performance during the quarter and providing high-level variance analysis to budget
  • Provide primary support for the preparation and consolidation of the annual business plan and periodic variance to budget reporting
  • Ad-hoc reporting as required
Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting
  • 5+ years of experience as an analyst or senior analyst, preferably in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in financial modeling and data analysis
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex analysis into clear and actionable recommendations
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
