The Construction and Equipment Division, a part of the J.D. Irving, Limited’s group of companies, is a key player in the North American construction industry. With six operating companies within the division, the group provides heavy equipment and crane services, civil construction, modular home and commercial buildings, industrial pumps and products, and steel and fabrication services to its customers.We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Talent Acquisition Partner located in Saint John, New Brunswick.Reporting to the Manager, Talent Acquisition for the Constructionamp; Equipment Division, the Talent Acquisition Partner will work with Hiring Managers and HR Business Partners to attract and select top talent for the division.Key Responsibilities:Ownership and execution of the full cycle recruitment process including creating requisitions and job postings, managing the candidate experience, administering skills assessments, interviewing, background checks and job offer creation. Effectively utilize the Applicant Tracking System for recruitment efforts in order to provide accurate data aligning to determined KPI #39;s. Strategically attract, source and select top talent including salary, hourly and student hires using unique sourcing strategies such as social and digital media advertising, brand awareness and strategic partnerships. Partner with Hiring Managers and HR Business Partners to understand the business/operations. Plan and execute full scale hiring events and presentations with a focus on promoting our brand and opportunities. Build networks and candidate pools through school partnerships, internal referrals, and external networking sources. Understand the business/operations in order to effectively attract talent. Participate in forecasting, planning, data capturing and analysis, recruitment related training, immigration process mapping and community engagement/brand awareness.Qualifications:Bachelor #39;s Degree in business or human resources or relevant operational experience leading and influencing individuals and groups. 1-3 years of related experience in recruiting. Willingness and flexibility to travel to company sites. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence others. Excellent time management and prioritization skills allowing you to manage multiple applicants while anticipating shifts in priorities. Ability to initiate and drive processes with aquot;can-do quot; attitude. Strong attention to detail and proven customer service skills.
