Job Description

Job DescriptionCEDA is seeking a Working Foreman to join our Chemical Cleaning team in Sarnia, ON.This position will oversee the day-to-day activities on site and actively perform the work alongside the crew. You will provide guidance and coaching to work crews ensuring field operations are being conducted in a safe and effective manner. You will provide feedback and expert insight into the operation of equipment, performance of jobs and timely completion of tasks.What We Offer:

Key Dutiesamp; Responsibilities:
  • Coach and mentor workers on safe work practices/procedures, quality workmanship and productivity
  • Operate and maintain chemical cleaning equipment and other specialty tools
  • Conduct performance management of workers
  • Ensure workers have adequate experience, training and technical information to complete the job safely
  • Provide crew with adequate oversight and daily work instructions
  • Ensure manpower is allocated to align with project requirements
  • Coordinate required material and equipment per job requirements, working with Superintendent to acquire items
  • Ensure that all tools and equipment have been inspected and are in good repair
  • Communicate work progress, schedule variance, crew and safety performance to the Supervisor frequently
  • Check on job status and provide positive and negative feedback on job performance to workers
  • Ensure worker adherence to all company health, safety and environmental standards, policies and procedures and maintain on going knowledge of local, provincial and federal guidelines for full compliance
  • Ensure work crews adhere to OH amp;S regulations and corporate HSE policies
  • Carry out additional duties and projects as assigned
Role Specifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry
  • Mechanically inclined with a working knowledge of industrial cleaning equipment
  • Highly skilled experience and prior knowledge of high pressure
  • Able to understand and communicate company policies and safe work procedures
  • In depth knowledge and optimal safe execution of site job tasks
  • Basic computer knowledge – able to use the Microsoft suite including basic excel skills
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements
  • Valid class G driver’s license and current driver’s abstract (no more than 5 demerits in the last 3 years). Class AZ or DZ is preferred.

  • Able to read and understand work orders, instructions, detailed forms, detailed operating and procedure manuals and case histories
  • You lead by example, having the ability to articulate the business vision, strategy and service capabilities to all levels inside and outside the organization
  • Flexible and adaptable to rapid change
