Established in 1976 the Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies (SIIT) is a First Nation governed post-secondary institution. You can contribute to that success while building your career.Nature and ScopeThe Admissions Advisor focuses on supporting applicants through the entire application process at SIIT and advises on options for post-secondary funding and other resources needed to ensure a smooth transition. Working with the Admissionsamp; Advisory Services Department, this position includes communications coordination, and admissions advising to prospective candidates. This position will positively promote and create an environment that demonstrates SIIT #39;s vision, mission, and mandate. General AccountabilityThe Admissions Advisor will play a key role in front-line provisions by assessing, advising and coordinating new learner applicants at SIIT. The incumbent will actively engage with potential applicants and guide them through the proper process and procedure of admissions in order to become a registered learner.The incumbent is responsible for providing support services required by a new applicant such as exploring personal goals, identifying program requirements and potential support services required to successfully transition into a fully registered learner by using a case-management approach. This position is accountable for follow-up with all SIIT applicants, and ensuring applicants are moving through the application process.
