Job Description

Location: Duck Lake, SK – Located at the Willow Cree Healing Lodge on Beardy’samp; Okemasis’ First Nation landTenure: Permanent PositionSalary: $35.08 to $38.03 per hour (including allowances), plus pension benefitsPosition Title: Building Maintenance TradespersonResponsibilitiesThis role includes performing general maintenance tasks (both corrective and preventative), engaging in construction work, and occasionally providing minor vehicle servicing. Duties may involve acting as a relief officer for maintenance shops and completing work related to labor, plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, metalwork, painting, masonry, plant service, composting, and garage operations. Additionally, the position requires training offenders in relevant maintenance activities.RequirementsEducation

  • Secondary School Diploma, or GED
  • A satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test, or an acceptable combination of education, training, and/or experience.
Degree equivalency applies.Experience
  • Experience and/or training in building operation, repair, and maintenance.
  • Experience working within or alongside an Indigenous community or organization.

  • Security: Reliability status
  • Willing and able to lift tools, equipment, and objects weighing at least 50 lbs (physical test may be required).
  • Willing and able to work in a 24/7 operational environment.
  • Must have and maintain a valid provincial driver’s license.
Operational Requirements
  • Willing to work overtime and flexible hours.
  • Willing to perform duties at any location within the assigned cluster.
