The role involves assisting cooks and kitchen staff in preparing meals, cleaning, and maintaining the kitchen area in a clean and safe manner.Educationamp; Experience:• Education: No degree, certificate or diploma required• Experience: Will trainWork Environment:• Setting: Restaurant and Bar• Workplace: On-site only• Shifts: Day, Early Morning, Evening, Morning, Night, WeekendResponsibilities:• Bring clean dishes, flatware, and other items to serving areas and set tables• Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units• Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs• Load buspans and trays• Operate dishwashers to clean dishes, glassware, and flatware• Place cleaned dishes in storage areas• Replenish condiments and supplies at tables and serving stations• Package take-out food and portion/wrap food items• Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items• Stock refrigerators and salad bars• Use manual and electric appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim food items• Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, cupboards, appliances, and equipment• Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, and cupboards• Remove kitchen garbage and trash• Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruitsAdditional Information:Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:• Fast-paced environment• Work under pressure• Attention to detail• Ability to handle up to 9 kg (20 lbs)Personal Suitability:• Team player• Ability to multitaskWho Can ApplyYou are eligible to apply if you are:• A Canadian citizen• A permanent resident of Canada• A temporary resident of Canada with a valid work permit Please do not apply if you are not authorized to work in Canada.
