This is your opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping our future.Position SummaryThe Vice President, Technical Services (PRM) oversees aircraft airworthiness and maintenance to ensure Rise Air achieves operational excellence. Reporting directly to the Presidentamp; CEO, this executive role is a key member of our leadership team, responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, safety, and efficiency across our fleet.Key Responsibilities and Competencies

  • Oversee aircraft maintenance, planning, and production across multiple locations.
  • Develop a supply chain strategy to optimize inventory and reduce costs.
  • Lead aircraft reliability programs to enhance availability and reduce downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with Safety Management Systems (SMS) and quality assurance programs.
  • Guide fleet planning, including aircraft selection, modification, and retirement.
  • Foster continuous improvement through operational analysis and strategic enhancements.
  • Serve as a primary liaison for Transport Canada and regulatory authorities.
  • Ensure full compliance with Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) and other industry standards.
  • Drive safety culture and risk management across technical services operations.
  • Build and lead a high-performing technical team with clear succession planning.
  • Work cross-functionally with flight operations, ground services, HR, and Accounting and Finance.
  • Provide strategic guidance on aircraft acquisition, asset management, and retention.
Indicators of Success (Key Performance Indicators)
  • Increased aircraft availability and reliability through optimized maintenance processes.
  • Reduction in maintenance costs while maintaining safety and compliance.
  • Improved turnaround times for parts and maintenance operations.
  • Strong regulatory compliance with zero major infractions.
  • Development and retention of highly skilled technical staff.
  • Effective execution of fleet expansion and retirement strategies.
Key Relationships
  • Reports directly to the Presidentamp; CEO.
  • Executive representation for Rise Air Board of Directors.
  • Collaborates with Flight Operations, Ground Services, HR, and Training.
  • Serves as a primary contact for Transport Canada and industry associations.
  • Manages relationships with vendors, suppliers, and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Extensive leadership experience in aviation.
  • Post-secondary education in business or aviation management.
  • Transport Canada-approved maintenance and technology program completion.
  • Strong expertise in financial and risk management principles.
  • Proven ability to influence, collaborate, and negotiate with stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and execution skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance operations software.
