Job Description

The role involves maintaining and updating project schedules, analyzing progress, and assisting the Project Engineer to ensure accurate forecasting and on-time delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of engineering workflows, scheduling methodologies, and project controls within an engineering, procurement, and construction management environment. Regular in-person attendance at the Saskatoon office is expected, with some potential for flexible remote work.Key Duties

  • Provide project planning and scheduling support specifically for engineering-related tasks and deliverables
  • Develop and maintain work breakdown structures (WBS), critical path method (CPM) schedules, and baseline management
  • Analyze schedule progress weekly and monthly; update activities and baselines incorporating project change orders
  • Collaborate with the Project Engineer to support project forecasts and scheduling accuracy
  • Attend and contribute to project meetings, providing feedback on schedule status and risks
  • Prepare schedule inputs required for engineering team submissions and project funding approvals
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting critical deadlines and reporting requirements
  • Consult with Engineering Manager and Project Engineering team on workflow and schedule improvements
  • Educate and train users on schedule requirements, processes, and best practices
  • Regularly attend the Saskatoon office with potential flexibility for remote work part-time

  • 4 to 9 years of relevant experience (intermediate level); 10+ years for senior level
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project (5+ years preferred)
  • Experience in Project Controls, Project Management, or Engineering (5+ years preferred)
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation.
  • Familiarity with engineering design elements and coordination between disciplines, vendors, and teams
  • Experience with scheduling/project management software such as JIRA or Wrike is desirable but not required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build rapport and work collaboratively with colleagues
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize workload effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
