Job Description

Candidates outside the area must be willing to relocate. The Project Engineer will be responsible for the following;Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical lead during the design phase and primary contact for technical inquiries during construction and commissioning.
  • Manage engineering scope, schedule, and budget in alignment with overall project goals.
  • Coordinate and provide technical oversight for work carried out with external consultants; serve as engineering leader on work executed using internal resources
  • Engage with stakeholders across departments and site teams to align project objectives and expectations.
  • Coordinate and lead design reviews with site personnel and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment and feasibility.
  • Engineeringamp; Design Coordination
  • Lead and support engineers and designers across disciplines to produce project deliverables.
  • Support procurement activities including tender document preparation, proposal evaluation, and post-award technical guidance.
  • Contribute to planning and funding requests with detailed engineering estimates and material takeoffs.
  • Project Executionamp; Monitoring
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular reporting on engineering activities.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • P.Eng. Designation with APEGS is required.
  • PEO designation or eligibility for registration.
  • Proven experience in multidisciplinary engineering and commissioning, preferably in mining or heavy industrial environments.
  • Strong understanding of the engineering project lifecycle and quality control standards.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills across teams and disciplines.
