Job Description

This will allow them to identify hazardous conditions and, where necessary, implement safe work procedures. Duties and Responsibilities:Inspections and Audits:

  • Carry out regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Engage in regular in-shift Safety Conversations with workers and reviews of Field Level Risk Assessments.
  • Investigate incidents to discover causes and
Compliance:
  • Monitor compliance with Sask Mines Regulations and the client #39;s corporate and Site Safety Policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents and inspections.
Safety Equipment:
  • Ensure availability, functionality, and compliance of safety equipment.
Risk Management:
  • Identify potential hazards and recommend solutions.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of risk mitigation strategies during reviews of Field Level Risk Assessments.
Field Updates:
  • Document in-field progress of Capital projects where required
Ensuring all necessary permits are obtained and inspections are scheduled and completed.
  • Oversee final inspection and hand over to client ensuring all documents are provided.

  • 5 + years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the mining or construction industries
  • CSO designation is an asset
  • Previous Underground experience.
  • Valid First Aid is an asset
  • Knowledgeable with the Microsoft Suite of programs
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting
