You provide essential services such as retirement planning, investment counseling, estate planning, and disability insurance, partnering with members to develop and implement personalized strategies that align with their individual financial goals. The ideal candidate will have a client-first approach - committed to achieving results for our members while prioritizing long-term relationships built on trust, empathy, and a commitment to achieving holistic financial well-being.Position Duties:· Conduct reviews with members, uncovering needs and goals and developing a personalized financial plan with recommendations customized to members’ distinct needs, goals and values. · Provide a holistic wealth approach that focuses on each person’s unique situation. Holistic planning includes financial, retirement, investment, estate, insurance, and tax planning.· Provide basic and comprehensive insurance planning strategies using life, disability, critical illness and long-term care insurance. · Create and maintain client files adhering to compliance requirements. Report on activities to the Credit Union Wealth Manager and/or Aviso Sales Development Manager. · Conduct client seminars on wealth management and attend business development opportunities. · Administer assigned budget, ensuring budget is adhered to and expenditures effectively managed.· Promote Synergy Credit Union’s investment through the AVI program in the community.· Provide advice to credit union staff on wealth management products. · Develop business plans.· Identify opportunities that meet members’ needs and plant seeds for future product/services and follow-ups.Qualifications:· Financial Planning Designation (i.e. CFP, PFP, CLU, Ch.F.C., CIM)· Industry experience as a financial planner or equivalent · Securities (CSC) License or Mutual Fund License· LLQP – Lifeamp; Accident and Sickness· General investment and insurance industry knowledge; awareness of the Canadian credit union system is an asset.· The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of the financial landscape, keeping informed of the latest trends in financial markets, industry competitors, current issues, and strategies. · Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain lasting relationships along with strong sales and presentation skills, compelling oral and written communication abilities, and effective organizational skills.· Passion for engaging in business development activities and volunteerism.· The ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.· Teamwork spiritTo apply for this position, interested candidates can submit their application via the Career Opportunities page at www.aviso.ca or email their resume directly to careers@synergycu.ca.
