Job Description

  • Play a key role in the motivational process to help people in living their best lives as a valued member of the community.

  • Recognize and nurture the steps to facilitate, develop and enhance meaningful relationships with their friends, families and neighbours.

As a Direct Support Professional, at CLA, you will ensure:
  • Quality of Life for people receiving services: facilitate/support people to achieve their goals, hopes and dreams.
  • Belonging and being a part of their community: facilitate/support people to attend various activities of their choice in the community. ie. - Volunteer opportunities, education, employment, recreational activities etc.
  • Relationships: facilitate/support people to have meaningful relationships in their life, connecting people to their neighbours, developing/enhancing/providing opportunities to make friends. Health and safety and well-being of people receiving services: including, but not limited to medication/treatment administration.
  • Personal Support: including, but not limited to: partial to full support for a person’s personal hygiene/personal care, lifting, transferring, & attending medical appointments in the community.
RATE OF PAY & HOURS OF WORK AVAILABLE
  • $26.87/hr
  • Relief/Casual, Part-Time or Full-Time opportunities depending on fit and availability
  • Required to Work Day, Afternoon, and Night Shifts
  • Expected to Work on Weekdays, Weekends and Statutory Holidays

  • A valid First Aid & CPR Level C certificate is required.
  • French is not required, but would be considered an asset.
  • A valid driver’s license may be required, a valid G drivers license would be considered an asset. If you have a full G drivers license, please attach a copy to your application.
