Job Description

Our team at Lyons Timber Mart is growing, and we would like you to grow with it!Lyons Timber Mart is currently seeking a DZ-Boom Delivery Driver to join our roster. You will work out of our Wellington West location. Lyons Ltd. has been part of the community since 1913 – today, we continue the tradition of being a family owned business serving Algoma as Island Timber Mart Kent’s Corner, Lyons Timber Mart Black Rd., and Lyons Timber Mart Wellington.The ideal candidate will find excitement in joining a team who provides customers with quality products, expert advice, and exceptional service.Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Deliver materials to job site and customers’ locations safely
  • Ensure the safe loading and unloading of the vehicle in a timely manner
  • Provide customer service in the lumber yard
  • Maintain daily driver logs and circle checks
  • Confirm load and paperwork are accurate and well organized
  • Keep the vehicle clean at all times
  • Operate all vehicles in a safe and responsible manner
  • Maintain lumber yard to store standards
  • Assist with other duties as required or assigned by management
Qualifications:
  • Class DZ License with a clean drivers abstract (MVR) and CVOR Driver Abstract
  • Three or more years of demonstrated safe DZ driving experience
  • One or more years of Boom driving Experience
  • Friendly and positive individual with an attention to detail
  • Team player with excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to lift 50lbs safely
  • Forklift license would be an asset, but not required
