Job DescriptionManax Plumbing a leading plumbing company in the Dufferin-Caledon area is looking for professional qualified skilled person(s) to fill the position of PLUMBER / 3-5th Year Apprentice.Our main focus is plumbing service, repairs & installations. We also offer water treatment sales & installations and well pump installation & service to county homes and commercial customers.Successful applicants will be reliable, clean, well-spoken and an independent thinker able to deal with problems and provide solution to customers through an excellent grasp of the English language.They will be able to read and interpret blue prints completing rough in plumbing.They will be able to complete basic math required for this type of job including filling out and submitting invoicing.Applicants MUST be registered with the Ontario College of Trades as a journey person or apprentice (preferable 3rd or 5th year). If you made it this far and are not alt minimum a 3rd year apprentice your application will be automatically declined. We are not taking on any new apprentices at this time.Job description includes;

  • Plumbing Service.
  • Rough in Work.
  • New Fixture Installations.
  • Water Treatment.
  • Well Pump Service.
  • Sewage and Sump Pump Service.
  • Gas Installations. (separate licence required)
  • Hot water tank and tankless installations and repairs.
  • Other General Plumbing Service.
  • On-site problem diagnosis, accurately estimate repair costs, fixed right the first time and continual value-added communication with the home owner.
  • Install, maintain and repair all types of piping systems, fixtures and other equipment used to distribute, supply or dispose of water or wastewater; including fixtures systems and appliances in residential buildings.
  • Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors.
  • Cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings.
  • Measure, cut, bend and thread pipes using hand and power tools or machines.
  • Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing and welding equipment.
  • Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.
  • Set priorities and work assignments to meet established deadlines.
  • Perform diagnostics, repair, maintain, service and install equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
  • Adhere to all safety rules and procedures and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Perform general and specific equipment inspections.
  • Correctly instruct customers on proper care and maintenance of installed fixtures and equipment.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all modern equipment and regulations.
  • Explain the value of Manax Plumbing products, services and programs on every call.
A successful applicant will be or have;
  • A Red Seal Licensed Plumber and in good standing with the Ontario College Of Trades, or apprentice, preferable 3rd, 4th or 5th year.
  • Represent Manax Plumbing in a professional, courteous and customer service oriented manner on each and every call.
  • Self-motivated, punctual and reliable.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers and customers.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills.
  • Must be able to fill out work orders accurately and in a timely fashion.
  • Must be physically capable of performing all work required of this position.
  • Have a driver's license with good drivers abstract.
  • Ability to read and understand blue prints.
  • Experience in Refrigeration, HVAC (GAS Licensed), Electricity, and Mechanics is an asset but not required.
  • Experience with Well Pumps and Systems is an asset but not required.
  • Experience with Water treatment systems is an asset but not required.
  • Ability to read and understand blue prints
