No Wind experience or specific trade required. TransAlta is providing internal technical & safety trainings.TransAlta offers a safe work environment, extensive training, a competitive salary and an opportunity to secure a position as a Wind Technician. Wind Technician Intern positions are a 6-month term to experience and learn about the Wind Technician position. Scholarship is available to successful candidates that are currently studying in Wind Turbine Preventive Maintenance, Electrical, Mechanical or Blade Repairs programs. Opportunity to extend the position to a longer term.The position will be located in Melancthon, Ontario.WHAT YOU WILL DOThe Technicians role is to maintain and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical controllers to operate and maintain wind turbines. There is an opportunity to work on different types of platforms; Siemens, Vestas, GE, Nordex, and NEG Micon.REQUIREMENTS
