Job Description

Resident Support Workers (RSW) are invited to apply for a temporary full- time, position to work at our 60-bed long-term care home located in Shelburne, Ontario .Under the direction of the Director of Care and Registered Staff the RSW provides assistance to residents and works to support PSW’s in their work to fulfil the physical, intellectual, emotional, social and spiritual needs of residents in accordance to home polices, procedure and work routines.RESPONSIBILITIESRecording staff and visitor temperatures upon entrance and exiting the buildingMust complete the COVID-19 screening questions with every person entering the facilityUpdating changes to the Screening binder and informing staff of the ongoing changesProviding the proper PPE to staff and visitorsDisinfecting area throughout the dayHigh touch surface cleaning throughout the buildingOther duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS:Mentally and physically able to perform duties as assignedAbility to communicate positively with other staff, residents and familiesDemonstrates empathy, concern and interest in providing quality care and service to residentsDemonstrates organizational skills and ability to complete duties in a timely fashionAbility to work independently and as part of a teamProven ability to read and write English and understand verbal and written instructions in English.Interested applicants should apply through this posting.
