Job Description

Partner staffing is thequot;go to recruiter quot; for difficult, important, and time sensitive positions in Western Canada.We work with proactive clients who understand the importance of having exceptional staff.Partner staffing on behalf of our Client is looking to find an experienced Electrical Heat Transfer Engineer for a 6-8 month contract with one of the large oil companies based here in Calgary.Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of Electrical engineering techniques, the design of engineered systems, engineering and design calculations.
  • Understands the standard engineering work planning, scheduling and cost estimating.
  • Perform engineering and design duties associated with project scope of work and liaise with other disciplines and project management.
  • Perform engineering and design activities, including electrical single line diagrams, wiring diagrams and schematics, EHT design and all other Electrical deliverables.
  • Perform engineering for procurement activities including RFQ/MRP development, technical evaluation and vendor drawing approvals.
  • Perform engineering development of Construction Work Package, including project description, construction specifications, IFC drawings and MTOs.
  • Provide construction support as required.
  • Follow and adhere to industry and Canadian Natural codes, standards, and regulations
Skillsamp; Qualifications
  • Graduated and hold a degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Registered and in good standing with APEGA
  • 5+ years’ experience in an electrical engineering role, working in oil sands facilities with hands on electrical engineering design and construction is preferred
  • Proficiency in EHT Design
  • Strong communication skills including a proven track record of clear and flexible communication styles
  • Able to expedite issues in a large multi-discipline team towards resolution
