RequirementsThe Opportunity: Our Client is seeking an intermediate to advanced level of skill Survey Party Chief to join their Calgary Geomatics team.This position is open to candidates living across central and southern Alberta. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our Project Managers to ensure projects are completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with contractual and legal requirements. The successful candidate will be working on major pipeline projects throughout the full lifecycle of their client’s pipeline projects. This is an outstanding opportunity for a professional looking to advance their career in Geomatics Engineering with a reputable and long-term growing company with satisfied clients.

  • The ability to travel and work out of town in remote areas.
  • Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing is required, as well as pre-site access testing as per client requirements.
What You’ll Be Doing: ·Field completion of various types of surveys focusing on midstream surveys for the oil and gas industry·Manage information flow from field to office and prepare clear, concise, and accurate field notes, records, and calculations What You’ll Bring: ·Two-year technical diploma in Geomatics or Civil Engineering or 2 years of previous experience in a similar role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience·Physical ability to work in mountainous and forested terrain and ability to lift heavy equipment. ·Willing to work in various environmental conditions with varied terrain, able to work in wildlife populated areas, and willing to work in remote areas for extended periods and varied hours · Experience with Underground Utility Locating is an asset but not required · Valid driver’s license requiredThis role is designated as a safety sensitive position.
