Your Opportunity:Alberta Health Services (AHS) is looking for Screeners to be the first point of contact at our building entrances to support the continued prevention against the spread of Covid 19. As a Door Screener, you will have the opportunity to use your exceptional customer services skills to communicate with and screen patients, family support person(s) and visitors regarding their general feeling of health or illness. This will ensure our hospitals and sites stay safe and healthy for our clients and staff. In addition to screening patients with questions regarding their health, you will also convey the message around proper hand hygiene and mask wearing. You will ensure entrants perform proper hand hygiene with alcohol based hand rub prior to entering the main building. This position will be required to assist with mask wearing and educating on donning and doffing of masks and you will be expected to articulate expectations to all persons entering the site and answer questions regarding screening to make certain the COVID-19 Essential Visitor and Designated Family/Support guidelines are followed. You will demonstrate strong communication, professionalism and customer service skills; be self-directed; demonstrate time management, confliction resolution, and decision-making skills and foster collaboration with members of the interdisciplinary team. This position requires rotational shifts and may pose a risk for contact with blood and/or other body fluids.
