Check out our company page for all the information on why we believe First Canadian is an employer of choice!If you are motivated to succeed by helping people, then this is the opportunity for you!Based in the Sherwood Park location, under the direction of the Director of Business Process Solutions, the Business Analyst supports the Director, Business Process Solutions in the planning, designing, developing, and implementing of operational business solutions for First Canadian Financial Group..
  • Evaluate business processes, identify opportunities for improvement, document & communicate business requirements, and implement initiatives.
  • Monitor project progress by tracking activity; overcome obstacles related to projects; publishing progress reports; recommend actions.
  • Improves systems by studying current practices; designing modifications.
  • Perform user acceptance testing and quality assurance on software-related enhancements. Effectively communicate issues and progress.
  • Develop solution documentation, training documentation, support documentation, functional and technical specifications, and other relevant document sets for support of their respective solutions.
  • As required, deliver training on processes & systems to various individuals and business groups.
  • Ensure all work and deliverables adhere to relevant business and IT security standards, governance policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Research, learn, and adapt new technologies, relevant industry standards, and best practices.
  • Other duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent diploma in Industrial/Systems Engineering, computing science/technology, or directly related education & experience.
  • Experience in business analysis and design.
  • Certification in business analysis, project management, and relevant application software.
  • Cybersecurity awareness.
  • Ability to produce standards-based business process diagrams along with functional and technical specifications based on customer requirements.
  • Experience managing projects from vision setting through implementation.
  • Experience developing and delivering high-quality written and oral communications.
  • Multicultural sensitivity.
