"Sabre Pride" is demonstrated through a positive learning environment in which the members of the school community work together to promote the attitudes, skills and knowledge that enable individuals to live caring, productive and fulfilled lives.POSITION SUMMARYCafeteria Assistants’ main responsibility is to provide assistance in the kitchen.The cafeteria assistant assists in all areas of the cafeteria to ensure they are run in a positive and efficient manner. The cafeteria assistant helps teachers with many instructional and non-instructional tasks in the classroom and the kitchen. Under the direction of the teacher, they usually will perform duties in the kitchen to complete tasks that the students are unable to finish or complete.Work independently with students or in the classroom with the teacherWork with a particular special needs student or a group of students within a classWork as part of a multidisciplinary teamPerform related duties in the kitchenRESPONSIBILITIESKitchen, Cafeteria & Cafe DutiesAssist students in food productionAssist students in making salads and dressingsAssist students in making cold plattersHelp students to choose proper ingredientsWashing dishes and cleaning kitchen, cafeteriaPrepare food for outside catering orders or special eventsWork some banquets when necessaryAssist fellow workers in kitchen to ensure completion of jobsAssist in maintaining cleanliness of kitchen and equipmentAssist in the organizing and cleaning of storeroom and fridgeDo laundry throughout the day to ensure clean aprons and clothsAssist in preparing, setting up, and dismantling displays, information areas, and work areasFinancial ManagementOperate till during lunch hourCount and balance daily cashFill out cash report at the end of each dayTake cash to the business manager’s office dailyEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEEducationHigh School DiplomaExperienceOne (1) year experience in the industryKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ATTITUDESGood oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to operate deep fryer, large grill, meat slicers, industrial convection oven and industrial mixer
