Job DescriptionThis posting is for 1 temporary, full-time position with an expected end date of March 31, 2022This position is responsible to consult and advise on appropriate change management activities and communication as part of the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS)/ Disability Management (DM) Technology Project. This position works closely with the Project Manager and team to plan and facilitate change across the organization to realize the desired end state. The position will also provide measures to support change sustainment while aligning with overall organizational values, principles, guidelines, policies and the People Plan.ResponsibilitiesApply a change management process, and tools, to create a strategy to support adoption of the changes required by the OHS/DM technology solutionSupport the design, development, delivery and management of communicationsProvide input, document requirements and support the design and delivery of training programsConduct impact analyses, assess change readiness and identify key stakeholdersDetermine the details of each change, including its cost, risk, and impact on the organizationDevelop a corporate change management plan that sequences and organizes planned changesIdentify and support stakeholders and the level of change impact; identify stakeholder skills of transition during and after implementation of the technology solutionWork with business units to help them understand, prepare for, and implement planned changesIn collaboration with the Communications Specialists, develop and distribute awareness communications using a broad set of tools including FAQs, online content, and digital bulletins as appropriateIn collaboration with the vendor of the technology solution and the OHS/DM Technology Support Specialist, train and support leaders in addressing change as a result of the OHS/DM technology project at the department or branch levelOrchestrate organizational adoption of new processes requiring behavioral and cultural change amongst stakeholdersIdentify areas that are resistant to change and provide strategies to address the resistanceIdentify, analyze and prepare risk mitigation tacticsSkills and AbilitiesStrong communication (both written and verbal), interpersonal, relationship building and facilitation skillsExcellent time management skills to manage heavy workloads and multiple competing prioritiesAbility to work independently as well as be part of a team and work collaborativelyDemonstrate strong change management and project management skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to influence and lead without formal authority to motivate stakeholders to participate, complete and maintain their responsibilitiesAbility to identify creative approaches in engaging and leading people through changeQualificationsPost secondary degree or diploma in business or a related discipline with a minimum of 5 years of related experienceChange Management Practitioner certification is requiredKnowledge of change management methodologies and practices along with knowledge of public sector policies or operationsDemonstrated experience leading large change management or business transformation projects within a multifaceted organizationEquivalencies of education and experience may be considered.
