Job Description

Electrical Drafter / DesignerAs a diverse and rapidly growing organization, TWD is a leading organization in the oil and gas industry with expertise ranging from refinery, pipelines, terminalling and blending, renewables, food and beverage, power, and much more. TWD is currently seeking an Electrical Drafter / Designer in Sherwood Park, Edmonton, AB.Job Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of construction, profile, ULA, schematic and topographical plans.
  • Interpretation of survey data, engineering design data and as-built information for record maintenance within the electrical GIS system with time spans of up to 3 months.
  • Deliver cost effective, reliable, quality products, adhering to GIS specific recording standards.
  • Prepare Detailed electrical drawings, for construction purposes, such as schematics, profile site drawings, and circuit maps.
  • Utilization of drafting and/or GIS based models to plot electrical facilities using its geographical information and to ensure overall electrical connectivity within the Electrical Office system.
  • Interpret as built mark ups prepare as built drawings, while maintaining spatial and non graphic information in GIS.
  • Collaborate with the GIS team for the quality, consistency and current Drafting/ GIS standards by communications at team meetings and via e-mails.
  • Follow Share Point Design Drafting requests workflow process on a daily basis.
  • Maintain document management within Project Wise.
  • Electrical facilities installation testing for implementation within Electric Office as required.
  • Adhere to the implemented drafting standards on current designs.
Qualifications:
  • Engineering Design and Drafting Technology Diploma
  • 2-10 years Design and Drafting experience.
  • Working knowledge and direct experience with GE Small World Electric Office and Microstation.
  • Experience in drafting and computer aided drafting and/or GIS software.
  • Advanced MicroStation skills.
  • Technical Knowledge of Electric office.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Software,
  • Database query knowledge.
