Job Description

  • Job SummaryReporting to the Administrative Support Team Lead, the MOA provides administrative services and support to Park Integrative Health (PIH). PIH is a private health and wellness clinic that specializes in providing comprehensive, collaborative healthcare to individuals in the greater Strathcona County and Edmonton area.ResponsibilitiesAdministrative Responsibilities:
    • Administrative duties: Phones/Faxes
    • Utilize office technology
    • Customer service to PIH patients and clients
    • Administrative support to physicians, allied health practitioners, and leadership team
    Clinical Responsibilities:
    • Maintain medical records via EMR (Healthquest)
    • Perform assessment of vitals: temperature, blood pressure, heart rate, height and weight
    • Perform manual and computer-based scheduling
    • Utilize computer software used in medical office setting
    • Utilize medical terminology
    • Perform infection control, sanitation and sterilization procedures
    • Communicate effectively and efficiently with patients and members of PIH team
    Allied Health Team Responsibilities:
    • Educate clients on allied health and integrative services offered at PIH
    • Facilitate intake and check-out for allied health clients
    • Utilize computer software for allied health services
    Qualifications
    • Post-secondary diploma/certificate as Medical Office Assistant
    • Minimum 3 years experience in a medical position
    • Minimum 3 years experience in clerical position
    • Strong command of medical terminology
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills
