About the roleAll progress begins with pioneers. At Rio Tinto, it begins with you.We are looking for a Senior Advisor Finance Business Partner to coordinate the preparation and track budgets across RTIT, and to prepare financial information and analysis to improve decision making by management. In addition, this position offers the opportunity to contribute to the strategic planning process and prepare financial analysis for certain key project and is an excellent opportunity to ensure that financial information and resources are maximized to the benefit of the organization.Reporting to the Manager Finance Business Partner, you will be responsible for:
  • Coordinating the preparation of the annual budget and monthly forecasts across the RTIT sites.
  • Preparing and publishing the annual budget and monthly forecasts for RTIT, taking into account established financial and operating criteria.
  • Working with the RTIT sites to producing various financial analysis reports, including variance explanations, for monthly publication or to meet specific needs.
  • Initiating and actively participating in the improvement of methods and processes by helping to provide data, proposing ideas and collaborating so as to improve financial management of the RTIT sites.
  • Preparing analysis on area of responsibility; attending meetings with RTIT sites, in order to keep them informed and discuss expenses related to budget, forecasts and operating changes with an impact on the business.
  • Producing various financial analysis to support key projects and investment decisions from a financial perspective.
About youTo succeed in this role, you will have:
  • Bachelors Degree Business / Finance / Accounting, CPA designation an asset.
  • 3-7 years related experience in a similar industry.
  • Primary language: English, Bilingualism beneficial.
  • Proficiency in MS tools.
  • Excellent communication skills.
