Bi-Weekly Hours: Rotating / 7.5 hr. and 11.25 hr. shifts/ Casualemployees are called on short notice to relieve staff that are on leaveand unavailable to work. The number of shifts may vary depending on theworksite. The work for this position will be on-call basis only. Please note that this particular position requires gender specificity in order to address the patient needs many of whom have previously experienced trauma or violence.The Resident Care Worker is the personal care provider for residents within the Long Term Care setting. Under supervision of a registered nurse, the primary responsibility is to deliver person-centered care in a professional, high quality, holistic manner that considers the residents physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual needs.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications: - Successful completion of a recognized Resident Care Worker training program or equivalent.- Demonstrated ability to show patience, sensitivity and creativity.- Good communication and judgement skills.- Able to work under supervision as well as independently and part of a team.- Capable of sustained physical activity.- Have a good previous work and attendance record.- The successful applicant must provide a satisfactory criminal record check prior to beginning employment.- Additional relevant education and experience will be considered an asset.Important Notes: Covid-19 Immunization: Notice to all External Applicants.
