Job Description

For this reason, we are searching for a Cabinet Finisher. Primary responsibilities include completing the final touches to cabinets, such as sanding, staining and lacquering, and preparing them for installation.Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted.
  • Sanding and smoothing the item in preparation for finishing.
  • Mix paint to desired colour and texture.
  • Colour-matching cabinet topcoats to ensure uniformity.
  • Apply paint to various material surfaces using a brush, conventional spray, and roller painting.
  • Responsible for graining and staining material surfaces and wood veneers.
  • Selecting and applying finishing products such as lacquer, stains, or clear coats.
  • Responsible for regular and thorough cleaning and maintenance of equipment.
  • Assist with loading vehicles for deliveries.
Experience and Qualifications: Please note that candidates not having authorization to work in Canada will not be considered at this time.
  • Completion of high school or trades certificate.
  • A minimum of 5 years specializing in cabinet finishing in a shop environment.
  • Experience in the field outside of a shop is an asset.
  • In-depth knowledge of staining and finishing techniques.
  • A minimum of 5-years of reading blueprints, written specifications, and production.

Ability to commute/relocate:

Education:
  • Secondary School (preferred)
Experience:
  • cabinet finishing: 5 years (required)
