Job Description

About the OpportunityWe are currently looking for a Construction Administrative Assistant to join our team in Spruce Grove. This is a temporary 3-month contract with the potential to become a permanent position.What will you do in this role- Answer phones, type letters, respond to customer emails- Complete paperwork for permits- Track warranty items and schedule trades days- Track and maintain all documentation and maintain the internal document filing systems, both digitally and paper- Assist with day-to-day operations- Work directly with sales, estimating and the field supervisor- Apply for utility connections on new construction sites- Liaison with various departments from accounting, warranty, and the fieldWhat requirements could help you get on our teamIf you have worked as a project management assistant or in the construction industry this might be the job for you. Duties include but are not limited to:- Construction knowledge and terminology preferred- Basic skills with Microsoft office suite of programs- Strong attention to detail and organization skills is a must. Having a proven organizational system, setting goals, and being driven to achieve these goals is important- Self managed- Quick learner with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and multiple demands- Willingness to learn and take initiative- The world of construction moves at a fast pace so your ability to multitask without loosing focus is important- Creative problem-solving abilities- Our company utilizes builder software call “Builder Trend”.
