Squamish Insurance has exciting opportunity for a Commercial Insurance Specialist in beautiful Squamish, BC. You will bring a natural ability to build strong relationships and look for opportunities to grow business within our community.The Role: Commercial Insurance Service Representative X (Monday to Friday), Full Time - 18- Month ContractA typical day would involve:

• Preparing quotes, providing comprehensive insurance advice on clients current and future needs and providing commercial lines, personal lines and auto insurance products and services to both new and existing clients.
• Building and maintaining a commercial lines book of business by identifying needs, offering product options, actively recruiting for new business and referrals, growing relationships with commercial clients and cross selling insurance products and services.
• Processing insurance policies according to established agency management workflow procedures and compiling and reviewing the monthly renewal list, as assigned and in accordance with established service standards in order to facilitate the retention of clients.
• Developing and maintaining relationships with insurance companies in order to optimize the service and products provided to clients.
• Providing referrals for additional products and services offered by Squamish Savings and/or Vancity.
• Providing coaching, advice and guidance to the rest of the team to support their understanding and effectiveness.

You Have:

• 2 years commercial insurance experience in a sales and service environment and have demonstrated sales productivity and customer service skills
• Level 2 insurance license and preference will be given to CAIB, CIP, CRM designates.
• High School Diploma (Completion of Grade 12)
• Post Secondary Education - Fundamentals of Insurance, CAIB Level 2 and 3
• Knowledge of the concepts, practices and techniques of the related field.
• Knowledge of insurance underwriting processes.
• Familiarity with Insurance Services
