Job Description

Who we are: Excelcare Nursing Services Inc. is a private healthcare management company, providing 24-hour nursing care and support services for seniors residential, independent, and assisted living facilities.We are committed to providing excellent care and maximizing the health and safety of our seniors. We work together as a team to establish a home-like, caring, and warm atmosphere for the residents by interrelating background experience, interests, and diversity.We have an immediate need for Temporary Entrance Screeners for a seniors residence located in the downtown area of Squamish BC.The Entrance Screeners are responsible for:

  • Greeting and screening employees and visitors upon arrival using a standardized questionnaire and performing temperature checks;
  • Scheduling visitations with families of residents;
  • Ensuring visitors are following all COVID-19 protocols and social distancing measures;
  • Reporting any concerns to the Director of Care and Program Coordinators;
  • Performing other related tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications: Previous customer service experience preferred.Excellent communication in English (verbal and written).Friendly, and outgoing; able to work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting.Able to manage and follow COVID-19 specific measures and health & safety protocols.Highly organized and resourceful.Able to operate work related equipment.Physical ability to carry out the duties of the job.As of April 10, 2020 in order to mitigate the risk of the transmission of COVID-19 among persons in our care, patients, residents and also staff in our long-term care facilities, an order under the Public Health Act was enacted to limit movement of staff between long-term care facilities.This vacancy is located at a registered assisted living facility and will be pursuant to this order.Please note that as a result of the Single Site Order, the current hourly rates are temporary and are in place for the duration of the single worksite restriction period or until further directions from the Ministry of Health.Job Types: Part-time, CasualSalary: $19.29 per hourBenefits:
