Located in the middle of the beautiful Sea to Sky region, come work with us in the Heart of Adventure - Squamish - work locally and spare yourself the commute! JOB REQUIREMENTS / DUTIES:

  • Effective and respectful communication in English (other languages an asset)
  • Welcome and work with people from around the world, with diverse cultures and backgrounds
  • Maintain high, professional standards, supporting the company brand and image
  • Develop professional relationships with clients, return guests and corporate partners
  • Check guests in and out of the hotel, answering questions and offering support/help
  • Compute bills, make and change reservations, assist with sales enquiries and collect payments using our industry leading PMS (Property Management System)
  • Respond appropriately to emergency situations, showing professionalism, tact and care
  • Ensure Sandman policies and procedures are followed an efficient manner at all times
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction, resolving complaints and room issues in a timely, courteous manner
  • Respond to telephone, e-mail, and in-person inquiries from clients, business partners, and other parties, referring all inquiries to the appropriate individuals, or departments
  • Other administrative tasks as required
APPLICABLE SKILLS:
  • Full Training will be provided, as well as ongoing coaching and support. Previous hotel experience is preferred, but not mandatory. Customer Service experience is desirable
  • Demonstrate good judgement, common sense and tact in dealing with challenges
  • Respectful communicator - Friendly, approachable and helpful
  • Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. (We will train you on our Property Management Software)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to set priorities
  • Trustworthy, reliable and dependable
