Job Description

Urban Alpine is Squamishs ski and snowboard mountain lifestyle shop. We are a convenient one stop shop for skiing and snowboarding needs - including rentals, bootfitting and a full service tech shop. In addition, Urban Alpine has a unique selection of casual clothing, footwear, accessories, outerwear, ski equipment and more!We are hiring a full-time (or part-time) ski technician / bootfitter for the upcoming winter season. Position is available to start immediately.Successful candidates must:

  • Be an avid skier
  • Have at least 2 years experience as a bootfitter and ski technician (preferably experienced in ski and snowboard rentals, adjusting and installing bindings, tuning skis, and punching boots)
  • Be enthusiastic, friendly and energetic with a genuine desire to provide outstanding customer service
  • Become and remain knowledgeable on products sold in the store
  • Assess customers’ needs and provide assistance and information on product features
  • Be flexible and willing to work in various capacities within the store
  • Be able to work as part of a team and take initiative independent of direct supervision
  • Be available to work weekends. Shift schedule may include early mornings, evenings and weekends
