Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)Work Site: Speech Language Pathology, Squamish Health Unit - Squamish, BCStatus: Temporary Part Time (0.80 FTE)Start Date: As soon as possibleSalary: $36.99 - $46.27 per hourHours:0830-1630Days off: Monday, Saturday, Sunday, and statutory holidaysReference#: 174302-cmaCome work as a Speech Language Pathologist with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)!Vancouver Coastal Health is looking for a Speech Language Pathologist to join the Speech Language Pathology team at the Squamish Health Unit in Squamish, BC. Apply today to join our team!As a Speech Language Pathologist with VCH you will:

  • Provide speech and language services for preschool-aged clients in the community.
  • Be responsible for the delivery of intake, consultation, assessment, therapy and education services using standard and advanced procedures.
  • Administrate and manage the local Speech-Language Pathology Program
QUALIFICATIONS:Education & Experience
  • Current full registration with the College of Speech and Hearing Professionals of British Columbia plus a minimum of two years related experience.
Knowledge & Abilities
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work well as a member of a team.
  • Ability to work independently, establish priorities and organize workload.
  • Ability to organize and conduct workshops and seminars on speech-language development/communication disorders.
  • Physical ability to perform duties of the position.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.
  • Valid BC Drivers’ License and use of a personal vehicle.
The hours of work including days off and work area may be subject to change consistent with operational requirements and the provision of the Collective Agreement and applicable statutes.
