SquamishWe’re looking for enthusiastic applicants to work in our Supported child developmentprogram on a relief basisThe program support worker is responsible for implementing the team based SupportedDevelopment program goals with direction from the Supported Child DevelopmentConsultant and the centre supervisor, in accordance with the goals and philosophies of theparticular child care setting(s). The work involves planning and carrying out, in conjunctionwith the other staff and professionals, activities to promote social and personaldevelopmental of children who require extra support and liaising with family.Here’s what you’d need:1. Minimum Grade 12 with preference given to post-secondary education inchild ECE certificate and/or child care related training. Equivalent coursesand education could be considered in some circumstances.2. One or more completed post-basic courses in special needs education orequivalent workshops in child development and disabilities.3. Minimum two years’ experience working with children.4.
