Job Description

Wash Bay Attendant / Bus CleanerPWTransit is currently seeking a full-time Wash Bay Attendant / Bus Cleaner to join our team in Squamish, BC. This is a unionized position; start date could be immediately, based on the successful candidates availability.The shift for this role is Monday to Wednesday from 11:30 am to 10:00 pm, and on Thursday from 8:00 am to 6:30 pm.Duties:

  • Clean the interior and exterior of company vehicles (transit buses and light duty vehicles)
  • Fuel and check all fluid levels as determined by cleaning and fueling procedures
  • Clean interior / exterior of bus advertising and back lighting; report any interior lights that are not working; replace interior & exterior advertising signs when instructed to do so
  • As part of the vault dumping procedures, must “probe” buses and “dump” vault canisters into vault receiver unit
  • May be required to pre-trip a bus
  • Miscellaneous building cleaning duties, dumping trashcans and washing floors when assigned
  • Cleaning engine compartments, undercarriages, wheels, and vehicle parts cleaning
  • Sanitization of buses in compliance with Provincial Health regulations
Qualifications:
  • Valid unrestricted Class 5 drivers license
  • Airbrake endorsement considered an asset
  • Ability to understand, speak, and write English in-order-to communicate effectively with the traveling public and to report on incidents involving safety and/or service
  • No criminal convictions or pending charges relating directly to the Wash Bay Attendant position
  • Previous cleaning or detailing experience considered an asset
