It consists of the Office of the CFO, Corporate Operations, Finance, Procurement, Properties, Strategy, Enterprise Risk Management and Internal Audit.ABOUT THE POSITIONMechanical TechnicianJob Req: 1354Location: St. Albert OfficeDivision/Branch: Corporate Services / PropertiesClassification: Maintenance Worker 1 (260)Status: UnionEmployment Status: Permanent Full TimeSalary: $73,779.48 - $73,779.48Closing Date: July 27, 2022JOB SUMMARYWorking under the direction and supervision of the Team Lead, Mechanical Services, the Mechanical Technician will provide operational and service support for all AGLC owned and lease facilities; primarily the Corriveau, Calder and Boudreau facilities. In this role you will be expected to provide maintenance and trade services within the capacity of a 4th class Power Engineer and certified journeyman Plumber/Gasfitter. You will work with and support other trade and non-trade facility service requirements to meet overall Properties Branch goals and objectives.In this fast paced role you will perform first class services within the execution of tasks related to operating, mechanical maintenance, preventative maintenance, installation, repair, replacement and enhancement services of all AGLC owned and leased facilities. The mechanical systems include but are not limited to HVAC systems, plumbing systems (potable and sanitary DWV), water treatment and testing, humidification systems, building control systems (BMCS, digital and pneumatic controls), and all other associated equipment. The incumbent shall assist with the coordination, inspection and testing services for servicing and maintaining facility fire pumps, sprinkler and suppression systems, site fire hydrants, ABSA checks and inspections, and all other life-safety legislative required checks.To be successful in this role you must be able to work in a service focused, team environment and possess a thorough knowledge of major and minor mechanical systems. This role will require you to work productively and effectively in line with AGLC’s values, with contractors, team members, and clients. You must have the ability to function in a service capacity, adapt to ongoing changes, and accommodate such changes in a positive manner.SKILLS & ABILITIES
