Job Description

Position: Technical Support AnalystCybernius Medical Ltd. is an Alberta company specializing in the development, marketing, and support of an internationally marketed advanced electronic medical record (cyberREN). For 29 years, the cyberREN system has been focused on the treatment of kidney disease in the government, commercial and private sectors.Cybernius Medical, Ltd. is seeking to expand its ability to provide quality one-on-one support to its growing list of clients.Duties and Responsibilities:The Technical Support Analyst will enjoy significant workload variety and be responsible for the end-to-end deployment and ongoing technical support of cyberREN systems, including:

  • Issue diagnosis & correction.
  • Operating system, relational database management system, networking & application configuration.
  • System performance & reliability monitoring.
  • Assist with software roll-out, planning & execution.
  • Monitoring and upgrading hardware as needed.
  • Liaising with both new and existing clients, client satisfaction.
cyberREN runs on both Windows and Linux operating systems, with an underlying relational database management system and a graphical user interface. cyberREN is deployed in both traditional client/server environments and modern SaaS (Software as a Service) environments.New employees are fully supported and mentored by peers with extensive experience and will be exposed to a large variety of tools and knowledge. International travel to client sites and product development projects also exists within this role. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to evolve into a hybrid (remote) position.Job Qualifications:The successful candidate will have a combination of the following technical skills:
  • Moderate experience with both the Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Relational database experience, Microsoft SQL Server experience preferred.
  • Experience with virtualization platforms (VMWare, VirtualBox).
  • General knowledge of Java.
  • Experience with common scripting languages (Python, Windows PowerShell, Bash).
  • Experience with general networking.
  • Experience with both consumer and commercial-grade hardware (servers, routers, switches).
  • Effective communication skills (both written & verbal).
  • Solid analytical problem-solving & critical thinking skills.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Rapid learning & context switching ability.
