Job Description

Sewer and Watermain Servicing Superintendant Founded in 1930, Kieswetter Excavating is a proud, family-owned business rooted in the Kitchener-Waterloo area.   • Lead and manage sewer and watermain projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
  • Supervise and coordinate work crews to ensure strict compliance with project specifications, deadlines, and quality standards.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for project managers and estimators, proactively addressing deficiencies and resolving issues as they arise.
  • Conduct routine on-site inspections to uphold quality control, enforce safety regulations, and identify potential improvements.
  • Provide leadership by mentoring and training team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in sewer and watermain construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership position.
  • Deep understanding of construction practices, methods, and safety protocols, with a commitment to ensuring job site compliance.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to effectively communicate and motivate diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, project plans, and specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail to manage challenges as they arise.
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
