Job Description

J&J Property Maintenance is a fast growing family business and looking for reliable employees to make a lasting impression on our customers. Our company offers a variety of outdoor services providing year-round employment opportunities.This summer we are looking for Landscape Labourers. Duties of a landscape labourer include safely loading/unloading and securing equipment, cutting and trimming lawns, edging and cleaning garden beds, planting and mulching gardens. Technicians will also be responsible for cleaning clippings, leaves and garbage from the property in order to ensure customer properties are left attractive, clean, and professionally maintained.We are now offering light excavation services this season. We will also have work available driving a mini-excavator or skid-steer on various projects for qualified operators.We are Offering:· Seasonal Summer positions June 14 – October 31. Successful summer candidates will be eligible to apply for open winter positions as plow truck drivers or winter equipment operators.· Wages of $17 - $20 per hour· Health and dental benefits for employees working a minimum of 20 hours per week after 3 months of employment.Job Requirements: We are looking for someone dependable and motivated to perform high quality work within targeted timelines who also has:

  • 1-2 years of experience operating zero turn lawn mowers, safely strapping equipment,
  • “G” Class drivers license with good driving record
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds or more
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a larger team to complete work
  • Ability to communicate honestly especially in difficult situations
  • Attentive to detail and commitment to quality
  • Heavy equipment experience or tickets an asset
