Job Description

If nothing feels better than making a difference in the lives of families in your own community, this could be the opportunity for you.Description:The Site Manager is a key leadership role in the North Zone Clinical Operations and reports directly to the Director, Clinical Operations. This position is responsible and accountable for providing the direction, leadership and organization of site services within a designated hospital in the North Zone. This work will be accomplished through planning, delivery and evaluating health services within assigned hospital, in support of the vision, mission and business plan of Alberta Health Services. Responsibilities will include making key decisions regarding the integration of various resources to ensure effective delivery of health services within hospital/site. This position will also be accountable for providing leadership in establishing and contributing to the achievement of the goals of Clinical Operations within the North Zone. The Site Manager will develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders in order to provide leadership to Clinical Operations within the North Zone. The Site Manager is also responsible for: Implementation, operational management, and monitoring of integrated acute care services within site. Assessing, planning, directing and evaluating the operations and activities of the site within established policies, guidelines, and regulations. Participating in the budget process and monitoring financial position of the site through variance report analysis. Providing support and counsel to the Director, Clinical Operations - North Zone and management team on all aspects of related services within designated geographic area.

Required Qualifications:A degree in healthcare profession, healthcare management or related field. A minimum of 5 years in a management role ideally in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity (healthcare experience an asset). A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development. Eligible to work for any employer in Canada.Additional Required Qualifications:Must be dynamic, professional, and innovative team player with proven leadership skills. Must have demonstrated effective interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. Must be able to articulate their commitment to patient care within the diverse population of Northern Alberta. Proven ability to manage human, financial and physical resources efficiently and effectively with an operational budget.
