About the Company: We are a leading Canadian consumer packaged goods company in the cannabis products market, headquartered in Toronto, Canada. Our vision is to be a leader in branded cannabis products that deliver on our consumer promise of quality, safety, and efficacy.Overview: Based out of Auxly Leamington, we are currently looking for Machine Operators to join our Operations team. Reporting to the Production Manager, the ideal candidate aspires to work in the growing cannabis field with an award-winning team! The successful candidate will be responsible for operating various production equipment while leading a small team of production associates to complete the run with commitment to accuracy, quality, and efficiency.What can you expect to do:

  • Embody Auxly’s business mission and strategy and act in a responsible, ethical and honest behaviour while consistently leading by example.
  • Responsible to lead and motivate a small team of production associates working underneath them on various production equipment.
  • Promote and maintain the highest level of cleanliness inside the production area and facility by routinely cleaning and sterilizing equipment
  • Prepare the correct equipment and supporting items for all the production associates in preparation for the start up.
  • Set up, calibrate, and clean machine in advance of a production cycle.
  • Lead change overs of machinery and ensure equipment is put back together properly and calibrated.
  • Troubleshoot issues that may occur during operation of equipment.
  • Execute and lead packing orders within Health Canada standards, Customer specifications, and company procedures.
  • Ensure and uphold quality standards throughout production run of cannabis and packaging materials.
  • Responsible to oversee and ensure documentation is correct for the entire run and all materials match up with specific runs. Including but not limited to labels, packaging/ material specs, Lot #, Strain, Brand, and inspections of product.
  • Ensure and review accuracy in data entry and ensure production forms are filled out correctly and consistently.
  • Communicate effectively with management and other departments as needed.
  • Confirm and review accuracy on reconciliation of materials and cannabis.
  • Ensures team adheres to safety requirements and ensures proper PPE is always worn, including by not limited to steel toe shoes, facemasks, respirators, hearing protection, lab coat, and gloves.
  • Ensure team is in compliance with SOPs as they relate to daily work activities compliance with regulations to the Cannabis Act
  • Look for opportunities for improvements, monitor outputs closely, and motivate staff to full efficiency potential.
What we are looking for :
  • Must be able to read and write English and communicate with employees effectively.
  • Must be able to lead and direct a small team.
  • Must be Self-directed and motivated.
  • Able to perform tedious/repetitive tasks with a high level of quality and attention to detail.
  • Physical ability to lift to 50lbs
  • Must have a clear criminal record (background checks will be conducted prior to start date)
  • Work with respirator, face mask, and/ or hearing protection for an extended time.
  • Prolonged standing, lifting, squatting, and/or bending.
  • Long hours may be required on occasion and overtime as required.
What will set you apart:
  • Previous Cannabis and/or production machine operator experience is an asset.
  • Previous knowledge of GPP, GAP and/or GMP regulations considered an asset
  • Previous experience leading or supervising a group considered an asset.
