Job Description

Trinity Energy Group is seeking a Sales Associate for our Stellarton store front. We are a locally owned and operated company specializing in building envelope, residential/commercial insulation, heat pumps and energy saving solutions. We have offices located in Stellarton and Mount Uniacke, and proudly employ over 90 people throughout the province.Reporting to the VP of Operations, the successful candidate will accomplish tasks related to all aspects of sales, including inventory control, merchandising, promotions, maintaining existing customer accounts and providing excellent customer service. In addition, the ideal candidate will have a minimum 2 to 5 years of sales experience and possesses a proven track record in the role of a Sales Associate. Responsibilities:
  • Greet and assist customers in-person at the sales desk.
  • In-person and phone sales.
  • Add value to the customer’s buying experience by making recommendations.
  • Educate customers about terminology, features and benefits of products in order to improve product related sales and customer satisfaction
  • Problem solves customer issues.
  • Provide product demos to qualified customers on request.
  • Provide customer product quotes and tracking accounts.
  • Accurately perform data entry of sales orders to generate an invoice of products ordered to be picked up or delivered
  • Secure payment of invoice with proper funds or obtain credit authorization in accordance with company policy.
  • Estimate date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of vendor’s production and delivery schedules.
  • Evaluate and determine disposition of warranty items handled at the counter, as prescribed by the manufacturers warranty policy and customer needs.
  • Maintain neat, professional product and sales literature displays.
  • Maintain and stock inventory.
  • Merchandising.
  • Assist other sales associates.
  • Learn about products and participate in product training.
  • Assist in receiving, shipping, and general warehouse duties
  • Other miscellaneous tasks.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2-5 years of previous sales experience in the building material industry.
  • Knowledge of construction, building and renovation industries.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Able to lift heavy boxes (up to 50lbs).
  • Good computer skills including MS Office, Outlook programs, and custom software.
