We currently have a 13-month term opportunity for Execution Specialists – Deli/HMR, Atlantic Retail Operations. Position location is flexible within Atlantic Canada however significant travel will be required.Job DescriptionWhat you'll get to do in this fast paced role:Based on priorities and tactical plan defined and communicated by Director Execution Support (DES), guide, coach and mentor Department Managers in-store, driving elevated operational execution and profit improvementShare and reinforce profit improvement plan KPIs to Store and Department ManagersRegularly review performance of priority stores/departments with Store and Department Managers based on KPIs established with a focus on exceeding expectationsProblem solve with DES, MROs, Store and Department Managers to address department challenges, supporting plans and training to ensure sustainable improvementField questions from Department Managers on execution standards and best practices to support sales growth and cost controlsTrain and coach Department Managers and teams ensuring flawless execution and implementation of industry leading retail department standards for areas of focusCoach, mentor and motivate Department Managers and teams ensuring sustainability of results through consistently high customer service standardsAct as a resource for Store and Department Managers on specialized area of expertise.Provide feedback to DES and store teams on best practices and continually assess effectiveness of standards and provide feedback for improvementShare innovation and best practicesProvide Store/Department Managers and DES insights to support people planning, including identification of high potential employeesWorking with MRO / L&D support training objectivesChampion safety practices in stores and ensure they are being maintained in collaboration with store teams, Integrated Health Management and Food Safety Teams#LI-PostJob RequirementsWhat your resume will include and demonstrate to us:Ability to coach, mentor and develop Department ManagersDeep knowledge or retail operations processes and execution standardsHigh degree of financial and business acumen, strategic thinking and ability to collaborate with stakeholders to positively influence meaningful changeAbility to make data driven decisions and drive positive changeExperience leading Store and/or Department Managers with focus on Deli/HMRAn undergraduate degree and a minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experienceExperience working with corporate and franchise store networkIf you feel that this describes the kind of work you want to do, and you are excited about what Sobeys has to offer, then we look forward to reviewing your application.
