Building strong relationships is the cornerstone of our business.Role:We’re actively recruiting Civil Construction Supervisors to oversee all aspects of on-site activities related to the field construction of heavy civil infrastructure at an assigned mining location. This includes the coordination of sub-contractors, enforcement of the site safety program, oversight of quality assurance measures, schedule and execution planning, material management, and day-to-day construction management.Responsibilities:· Ensure that all assigned contractor’s supervision and manpower are trained and actively comply with all aspects of the site Health, Safety, and Environment policies.· Ensuring that civil infrastructure is constructed to the most up to date drawings, specifications, quality requirements, permit conditions, and schedule requirements.· Working with civil contractors to ensure that project planning and execution are within the requirements of the project as it pertains to safety, cost, quality, and schedule.· Working with the construction management team to ensure that the most up to date project drawings and specifications are available to the contractors.· Conduct regular reviews of contractor’s construction execution planning, manpower and equipment requirements, schedule milestone dates, material procurement requirements, and health and safety program.· Working with engineering team to ensure questions regarding the construction of the project are responded to with concise answers in a timely manner.· Responsible monitoring daily construction activities and related billable time or quantities and working with contractors to ensure accuracy of information· Actively coordinate work between onsite contractor(s) to ensure seamless flow of overall site construction activities.Skills / Qualifications:· Previous experience in a similar role constructing civil infrastructure at a mining location· Experience in reviewing, enforcing, and developing work plans according to the jurisdictional Health and Safety Regulations· Hands on experience of planning construction safety, execution, and quality requirements· Hands on experience of constructability and hazard identification· Ability to solve construction issues and work with engineering teams to determine the optimal course of action· Able to commit to being transparent, respectful and courteous at all times with MineSpec’s business partners, clients and fellow employees.Work Locations: Project sites across Canada and Internationally. Project sites are often fly in / fly out and operate on rotational schedules.Candidates will be reviewed based on project specific requirements. Candidates must be able to travel to project locations.Employment is contract based.
